New Release: The Killers premiere new song 'Just Another Girl'

A week earlier than we were expecting to hear it, The Killers today released new track ‘Just Another Girl,’ much to the delight of their fan base.

The song is the second new number alongside ‘Shot At The Night’ to be included on the band’s compilation album ‘Direct Hits,’ which will be released in a weeks’ time on 11th November.

The song itself has a lethargic yet purposeful start. Brandon Flowers’ flawless vocals take centre stage allowing the track to build to a climax, kicking into real life as the song hits the chorus with the line it shares with its title ‘she’s just another girl.’

Produced by Stuart Price, the synth-fuelled song takes on a trademark Killers sound; upbeat melodies, a strong drumming presence, and of course: those lyrics.

"All of my friends say I should move on/she's just another girl" - this is a breakup anthem, make no mistake, and it is something which frontman Flowers is so used to delivering by now it must be second nature.

The track is strong enough and good enough to stand alongside the hits they’ve chosen to include on their compilation album. Ten years and four studio albums later, The Killers have still got it.

'Just Another Girl' was premiered on VH1 and can be listened to here.
